Mt Evelyn Project
This Mt Evelyn project was driven by a clear goal: take an ageing home and elevate it to modern standards—both visually and structurally—without the cost and disruption of a full rebuild.

From the outset, the focus was on improving not just how the home looked, but how it performed. The existing exterior had reached a point where ongoing maintenance and inefficiencies were becoming a concern. Rather than patching issues, the decision was made to take a more strategic approach—completely upgrading the building envelope.
The home was fully re-clad in Colorbond corrugated sheeting across both the walls and roof, instantly transforming its appearance into a bold, contemporary design. More importantly, this upgrade significantly improved durability and weather resistance, giving the home long-term protection with minimal maintenance.
To further enhance performance, all windows were replaced with new double-glazed units. This upgrade plays a critical role in thermal efficiency—helping regulate internal temperatures, reduce energy costs, and create a more comfortable living environment year-round.

A new front entry door was installed to complete the façade, creating a stronger, more welcoming street presence. The entire exterior was then repainted, tying all elements together into a clean, cohesive finish.
Inside, the focus shifted to functionality. Targeted internal modifications were carried out to improve flow and usability, ensuring the internal layout matched the quality and intent of the upgraded exterior. Rather than disjointed improvements, every change was made with the bigger picture in mind.

One of the key challenges in this project was ensuring that both internal and external upgrades worked seamlessly together. It’s easy for homes like this to feel inconsistent when changes are made in isolation—but through careful planning and execution, the result is a home that feels unified, considered, and complete.

The end result is a property that presents like a brand-new home—delivering a significant uplift in both aesthetics and performance, without the need to start from scratch.
